Vigilance Awareness Week

To commemorate the birth of the Bismarck of India- Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on the day of October 31st, a historic decision was taken in the year 1999 to observe Vigilance Awareness Week every year starting from 31st October to 6th November. This awareness program is organised every year to spread the message of Integrity in all spheres of life and to spearhead and promote knowledge and awareness among masses about the ill- effects of corruption that can be the biggest obstruction towards progress of a country.

With the endeavour to promote integrity, honesty, transparency and accountability in public life and to honour this year’s theme for Vigilance Awareness Week- “Corruption Free India for a developed Nation”, our school in collaboration with the Power Grid of India, Maithon substation, participated in a grand initiative to observe Vigilance Awareness Week to make the students aware of the harmful effects of corruption. Various activities like speech, essay and painting competitions were organised under the able guidance of our honourable Principal Sr.Anupama and other teachers where the students very aptly presented their views regarding corruption and prevention of corruption. The activities began with a small prayer followed by the integrity pledge that was taken by the participants, teachers, the members of the Power Grid of India who were the special guest of the day and all the other students present on the occasion.

The students actively participated in this short awareness program as it not only taught them a new concept called Vigilance, but also made them aware and understand the importance of building an honest and corruption free society for a better and a brighter tomorrow.
